How to Redact a File

The Redactions capability included with Prizm Content Connect Plus allows easy redaction of sensitive and confidential information from within the viewer. Secure and share more than 300 document types using the enhanced Annotation toolset provided by the Redaction module. Each user can add and burn in a redaction annotation, eliminating the underlying text, and producing a fully searchable PDF. Redactions are stored as separate XML files associated with the original document, and do not alter or change the original file.

Prizm Content Connect no longer requires a separate download for redactions. However the appropriate license must be purchased to enable this capability. Instances of PCC not licensed for redactions will not see the Redact tab in the Flash or HTML5 viewers.

PCCIS does not yet support burning in redactions. The legacy services should be used to support this functionality. Please see the How to Redact a File topic under the PCC with Legacy Services section for more information.
